Hey Al, I’m watching clubhouse with interest. Certainly I like the idea of chatting with people, and new people...

BUT...

I think the use cases you’ve logged above can already be done on Zoom. The difference is that Zoom isn’t a social network where people are hanging out.

So what Clubhouse gives is a discovery engine, where people can happen to find you.

And yet, I find it hard to find anything of value to me there. And I have no interest in becoming a “influencer” :-)

Yeah its a good point re ZOOM and I've thought about that too. For me there are a few differences. On video, everyone feels they need to 'turn up' look presentable, be in front of a computer, at their best. I've used clubhouse in the car/on walks/eating dinner. Thats a key difference for me. The other difference is the format of mods/stage/listening which gives a certain structure that zoom doesnt have. :)
