I think a simple way for people to approach this whole thing is to see that marketing, branding, communication, benefits, product, etc – these are all things that serve PEOPLE. Externally those people are customers, internally they are employees. So your brand, product, marketing, benefits, etc, have at least two audiences, or you have two versions of those things.
